Instructor Training

TO QUALIFY

• You need to have held a full, clean, British or European driving licence for four years.
   
• You must be able to read a number plate 90 feet (27 meters) away.
   
• You must pass a three-stage examination set by the Driving Standards Agency.

EXAMINATION - PART ONE

• Theory Test comprising of 100 questions.
   
• You must correctly answer 85 questions, including 20 questions within each of the 4 banded groups.
   
• Computer-based "Hazard Perception" test in which potential hazards are identified.

EXAMINATION - PART TWO

• One-hour practical driving test including manoeuvres.

EXAMINATION - PART THREE

• A one-hour role-playing examination to assess your teaching abilities.
